Would it be weird if I bought my boyfriend's mom a small Mother's Day gift?

I'm eighteen, he's nineteen, and we've been dating for nearly fourteen months (fifteen months by the time Mom's Day is here). We're not engaged or anything. His mom likes me, and I don't have any bad feelings toward her. I was thinking just like a rose or small bouquet and some chocolates or a Raggedy Anne novelty (she LOVES Raggedy Anne). Would it be awkward?
