Dryer blows lint and LOTS of hot air?

I know dryers produce both lint and hot air but both of these are over the top, When I dry a load of clothes I end up with lint everywhere. The lint trap is full but so is the top of my dryer. Also, it's creating way more hot air then the one in my last house did. When I dry a load of clothes that whole side of the house gets so hot its unbearable. How can I fix this?
